  • Substandard Consumables: Abrasive, low-grade paper labels and improper wax/resin formulations wear away the microscopic protective glaze coating like sandpaper.
  • Physical Scratches (User Error): Scraping jammed labels off the printhead array with metal scissors, box cutters, or screwdrivers immediately fractures and permanently scratches the glass ceramic surface.
  • Improper Cleaning and Industrial Dust: Airborne abrasive dust in warehouse environments adheres to labels and bakes onto the printhead line, forming an insulating carbon crust that forces thermal resistors to overheat and pop.
